Godot is an open-source and free 2D and 3D game engine providing cross-platform support, including the ability to create XR projects. In recent years interest in, and use of, Godot has grown steadily. Two weeks ago, W24 Games and Meta announced a partnership to improve Godot support on Quest. All in all, it feels like a good moment to take a closer look at a potential (free) alternative to Unity and Unreal.
Bastiaan Olij, Godot core developer for XR support, will present an overview of Godot and its XR support and show an example project. The time schedule is as follows:
