StereoKit – an “easy-to-use open source mixed reality library for building HoloLens and VR applications with C# and OpenXR
In this workshop we’re going to work with the exciting new framework of Stereokit. This free and open source .NET package has been designed from the ground up to work exclusively with XR headsets. Using this approach it is much easier to do many common XR things that are relatively hard to do in game engines like Unity or Unreal.
This will be a hands-on workshop for those who would like it to be so. If you want to code along with the presentation, please have .NET 7 or 8 installed on your machine as well as Visual Studio, VS Code, or Rider. You can find more information about this here. It would be useful to have a Quest HMD handy, but the SK Simulator is quite nice too (for those of you on Windows)
